Day 45: Logical Circuits

Today we will going to study about the logical circuits basic introduction.

LOGICAL CIRCUITS - Basically logical gates connected hote hain, ek gate ki output doosre gate ki input hoti hai, then isko logical circuit kehte hain. 
In digital systems, logical circuits are of 2 types-
  1. Combinational Circuits
  2. Sequential Circuits
  • In Combinational Circuits, the output is determined by the current input state only.
  • Means, the output depends on inputs only, at a given point of time.
  • Isme memory element ko consider nahi kiya jata.
  • Combinational circuits ko design karne ke liye only Gates and Circulatory lines ko use kiya jata hai. 
  • It is easy to design.
  • The speed is fast.
  • It is less expensive.
  • Combinational Circuits examples are-
  1. Adders
  2. Subtractors
  3. Decoders
  4. Encoders
  5. Multiplexers
  6. Demultiplexers

  • In Sequential Circuits, the output is determined by current input state along with memory elements.
  • The memory elements store information of the previous state of the circuit.
  • Means, the output depends on input as well as previous states of circuit(memory).
  • Sequential circuits ko design karne ke liye gates, circulatory lines and memory elements ko use kiya jata hai.
  • It is difficult to design.
  • The speed is comparatively low from combinational circuits.
  • These are expensive.
  • Sequential Circuits examples are-
  1. Flip-Flops
  2. Registers
  3. Counters
