Starting of the Session(Intro to the exam)

Hello Dear Students,
   Hope you all are doing good.


Students, so first of all let us know about the exam and the exam pattern. So the UGC NET exam is basically for the eligibility of the teachers in our colleges and universities. The JRF is for the doctorate students scholarships who are willing to do the research and do PhD. 

The exam is of 3 hours continuous. It consists of Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Paper 1- Paper 1 is same for all the students gathered. It is basically based on the study of our schooling. It has 10 units which are-
  1. Teaching Aptitude 
  2. Research Aptitude
  3. Comprehension
  4. Communication
  5. Mathematical Reasoning and Aptitude
  6. Logical Reasoning
  7. Data Interpretation
  8. Information and Communication Technology(ICT)
  9. People, Development and Environment
  10. Higher Education System.       
Each unit contains 5 questions each. The total questions from Paper 1 is 50 and each question is of 2 marks so this is a 100 marks Paper. 

Paper 2- Paper 2 is the paper on the subject in which you have done/pursuing you Master's degree. Ours is Computer Science and Applications. So all questions being from the Bachelor's degree and Master's degree syllabus. It is also of 10 units which are-
  1. Discrete Structures and Optimization
  2. Computer System Architecture
  3. Programming Languages and Computer Graphics
  4. DataBase Management Systems
  5. System Software and Operating System
  6. Software Engineering
  7. Data Structures and Algorithms
  8. Theory of Computation and Compilers
  9. Data Communications and Computer Networks
  10. Artificial Intelligence(AI).
Each unit contains 10 questions each. The total questions from Paper 2 is 100 and each question is of 2 marks so this is a 200 marks Paper.

Note:- There is no negative marking for any incorrect answer.


Special notice:- The date for filling up of exam is now 16th of May. So the students who have not filled their application form for the UGC NET 2020 can now apply it up to 16 May 2020. This is due to the novel corona virus.
